Description
Miami Children's Museum is seeking a new IT Manager to join its team! The IT Manager is responsible for providing all IT support needs of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the first line of response for incoming queries and issues related to laptops, software, and other hardware supporting the museum.
- Administrator for the organization’s CRM and related systems
- Provide prompt responses and follow-up to staff seeking technical assistance through walk-ups, phone, or email.
- Administer and support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-based systems
- Manage multiple support items concurrently, including troubleshooting technical issues, diagnosing and repairing faults, speaking with staff to quickly identify root causes, and providing timely, accurate customer feedback.
- Administer and maintain the museum’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches, phone systems, printers, and end-user devices.
- Monitor outstanding problems and devise resolution methods; consult 3rd-party software and hardware vendors for resolution and replacement if needed.
- Manage cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, antivirus, patching, access controls, and monitoring.
- Conduct end-user training on IT capabilities as needed.
- Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery processes, and test and document recovery procedures.
- Contributes to the daily maintenance and operation of the museum’s infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, onboarding, and offboarding access across all systems.
- Support audits, insurance reviews, compliance requirements, and IT-related documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in providing wide-ranging IT support
- Certifications evidencing wide-ranging expertise in IT hardware and software (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA, Google IT Support, Google Cloud Professional, etc.)
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision and prioritize daily work for maximum institutional effectiveness.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
