Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure the timely and efficient flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items and their preparation methods.
- Adhere to portion control and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- Assist in cleaning and organizing food storage and kitchen areas.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in food and kitchen safety training sessions.
- Assist with inventory management and report any shortages or unusual activity to the kitchen management team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and culinary practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage pressure effectively.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
