The Labs and Clearance Coordinator is responsible for clearing patients based on a standard and defined process to ensure the patient can safely undergo surgery.

• Assists patients in evaluating them for their appropriate surgical procedure(s)
• Reviews patient’s medical and health history to determine pre-admission testing
• Schedules appropriate medical and cardiac clearances
• Schedules patients for follow-up appointments and tests
• Coordinates with clinical staff to gather information for all patients
• Codes information from physicians about procedures performed
• Assesses no further testing or additional clearances are needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Internal and external customer service orientation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• High School Degree minimum
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
