Technology is rapidly evolving and it's vital for MI5 to stay one step ahead. This is why we need individuals with the brightest technical minds who can come up with innovative solutions to a wide range of technological challenges. So whether you are an experienced Enterprise Architect horizon scanning future technologies to enable MI5 to run investigations, or a graduate starting out on your career on our Technology Graduate Development Programme, your work makes a direct impact on how effectively MI5 can protect the UK's national security. Our corporate IT section offers a wide range of career opportunities. Use technology in ways you'd never have thought possible in our Digital Intelligence Operations. The Operational Infrastructure team is responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure that supports several high availability systems. Our Business Analysts can expect to work concurrently on multiple small projects, or in support of large, complex transformational programmes. Our Enterprise Architects develop technology strategy and translate this into defined architectural models, influencing and persuading people at the highest levels. Our Application Architects understand our diverse application environment, providing designs and roadmaps to build and evolve systems that will increase value to end users. Infrastructure Architects ensure our infrastructure is aligned to MI5, developing strategies, standards, and policies, and driving technological convergence. Our IT Service Support department encompasses many areas, such as the Service Desk, Incident and Problem Management, Operational Response, the Communications Centre and estate wide MI5 Monitoring. As a senior programme manager, you will take charge of large-scale programmes that are crucial to front line staff. The Operational Network team is responsible for the rollout and maintenance of MI5's operations network throughout the UK. Our Covert Technical Operations Specialists take the lead in deploying a wide range of advanced MI5 technical capability to enable intelligence collection in fast paced and high-profile investigations.
