BIM & Virtual Design Leader
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking BIM & Virtual Design Leader to drive innovation, efficiency, and digital transformation across our design and construction workflows. This role will lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) processes across projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead BIM/VDC team execution across multiple active construction projects
- Coordinate and allocate internal resources to support projects
- Partner with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners to integrate BIM into field operations and fabrication
- Oversee coordination efforts, including clash detection and resolution using federated models
- Drive the use of BIM for constructability reviews, logistics planning, and fabrication
- Support cost planning, productivity performance metrics and procurement workflows
- Manage and maintain project models, ensuring alignment with construction progress and as-built conditions
- Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors - including providing standards, expectations and project work
- Implement and enforce BIM Execution Plans and company standards
- Evaluate and deploy internal technology teams such as laser scanning.
- Train field and office teams on BIM/VDC tools and workflows
- Collaborate with IT and leadership to advance digital construction strategies
- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows
- Oversee model coordination, clash detection, and data integration processes
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and automated fabrication solutions
- Manage and mentor BIM/VDC teams, including training and professional development
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in BIM/VDC, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong expertise in BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.)
- Experience with coordination platforms and common data environments
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and large-scale projects
- Strong understanding of Mechanical construction workflows
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Salary/Benefits:
- Estimated Salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 (depending on experience) *plus annual incentive bonus tied to company performance*
