Employee Status: Contract Bargaining Unit: Non-Union Pay Range: $21.22 - $24.41 per hour. Your hourly rate will be based on the year of study at school. Work Location: ONSITE 5 days / week at 130 Adelaide St W, Toronto Contract for 4 months starting September 2025 Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto's subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster, and easier. Our Service and Access Planning team is looking for three (3) co-op students to help with the planning, implementation, and monitoring of GO Transit rail services. The co-op students will work with internal partners to provide analytical support in the completion of tasks and deliverables. You will report to the Senior Rail Planning Officer, Operations Performance Management. What Will I Be Doing? Provides a variety of administrative and/or technical services to support the business which may include: preparing reports, memos, documents; maintains and updates electronic and hardcopy filing systems; provides record management services Develops spreadsheets, forms, and databases to input, track, store and retrieve data Maintain up-to-date operating statistics for GO Rail network Work with internal and external partners to collect data, respond to queries and exchange information Help produce daily/weekly/monthly operational documentation and reports, as assigned Provide support to staff in a variety of areas, including gathering, inputting, organizing, and interpreting data for reports/presentations/meetings/projects Prepare agendas, coordinate, attend, and take minutes for daily technical/operational meetings Assist in the production and formatting of operational documentation (e.g. public-facing and internal timetables) Certain travel and/or field work (e.g. passenger counts on-board trains) may occasionally be required What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need? Must be attending school full-time and returning to an academic institution (note: does not mean candidate must be taking courses during work-term) Must be at least 15 years of age before starting employment Enrolled in Engineering/Planning/Computer Science/Geography or similar program at a post-secondary institution A willingness to learn while being exposed to all aspects of Service and Access Planning Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills are required Ability to work with and assist other co-workers with various projects
