AZISTA COMPOSITES PRIVATE LIMITED (ACPL), part of the AZISTA Group, is established to realize the most demanding high-temperature engineering applications. We design, develop, manufacture, test and qualify: Carbon-Carbon Composites (CCs), Ceramic-Matrix-Composites (CMCs) and Phthalonitrile (PN) based polymer matrix composites. Job Title: Design & Development - Methods Engineers
Experience: 7-10 years (Experience in manufacturing or methods engineering)
Qualifications: BE/B.Tech/MTech in Polymer / Materials / Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering
Location: Medchal, Hyderabad
Role Summary
The Methods Engineer is responsible for defining, documenting, and standardizing manufacturing processes for polymers and high-temperature ceramic products. This role is exclusively focused on shop-floor execution, ensuring robust, repeatable, and compliant manufacturing processes for built-to-specification products, in close alignment with the Design & Development function.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and define suitable manufacturing processes for the assigned product portfolio
- Prepare and maintain route cards, manufacturing process flows, work instructions, and SOPs Identify, define, and control critical process parameters (CPPs) and manufacturing tolerances
- Define in-process inspection points and final inspection stages in coordination with Quality
- Actively participate in first-article manufacturing, process prove-out, and production readiness reviews
- Drive process standardization, repeatability, and continuous improvement on the shop floor
- Ensure manufacturing methods are compliant with design intent, specifications, and quality requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- BE/B.Tech/MTech in Polymer / Materials / Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or methods engineering
- Strong practical exposure to: Hand lay-up, Prepreg lay-up, Autoclave or OOA curing, RTM, VARTM Bonding, trimming, and machining
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of polymer and ceramic materials, resins, fibers, and cure behaviour
- Excellent process documentation and methods engineering skills
- Ability to translate manufacturing requirements into clear, actionable shop-floor instructions
- Structured, detail-oriented approach with a focus on repeatability and compliance
