eteorological subject matter expert. • Ensure that weather related products are scientifically accurate, operationally reliable and fit for downstream consumption. • Works with Data Scientists on building, analyzing forecasting models, reviewing model outputs, and defining quality standards that govern what gets shipped to users. • Up to date with recent developments of weather forecasting models both physical and AI-based. • Mentors team members with domain knowledge on weather/climate. • Report generation of the model analysis."
Education
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, environmental engineering or a related field.
Required Qualifications
" • Experience with weather forecasting. • Proficient in Python. • Solid understanding of forecast data formats: GRIB2, NetCDF, zarr. • Strong communication skills"
