Research Scientist Intern, Computer Vision/Graphics /Machine Learning (PhD) AI Research, Facebook Reality Labs, Bellevue, WA Research Scientist Intern, Computer Vision/Graphics /Machine Learning (PhD) Job Description Facebook Reality Labs Research is looking for talented and passionate PhD students to join us as research interns in the areas of computer vision, graphics, and machine learning. As a research intern, you will work closely with our world-class research scientists and engineers to tackle challenging problems at the forefront of augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), with the goal of enabling seamless and magical experiences. Your work will involve a mixture of fundamental research, algorithm development, and prototyping, leveraging both classical and deep learning techniques. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of areas, including 3D perception, reconstruction, and understanding; real-time graphics and rendering; and multimodal sensing and interaction. We are looking for students who are excited about pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AR/VR and have strong backgrounds in areas such as computer vision, graphics, machine learning, robotics, or a related field. Strong programming skills, research experience, and excellent communication abilities are a must. Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a PhD program in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field - Expertise in computer vision, graphics, machine learning, or a related field - Strong programming skills, especially in Python and C++ - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with 3D computer vision, 3D reconstruction, and/or graphics - Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow - Experience with hardware development and prototyping - Publication record in top-tier computer vision, graphics, or machine learning conferences Internship Duration: 12 weeks #LI-REMOTE
