About the role

The AI Mentorship (AIM) Program is Meta's open science research collaboration program with select partner universities to support the next generation of AI researchers. The program is structured around three key pillars: open science, employment and research collaboration. Candidates are employed short-term as visiting researchers at the closest Meta office to their university. Locations include Seattle, Pittsburgh, Bay Area, New York and Montreal. US based university students are employed part-time (8 hours/week) while school is in session, and full-time (20+ hours/week) during summer break. Canadian university students are employed 20 hours/week year-round. The program lasts a minimum of 12 months with an option to extend to 24 months. To be qualified, you must be pursuing your PhD at one of our select partner universities: University of Washington; Carnegie Mellon University; University of California, Berkeley; NYU's Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (CIMS) or Center for Data Science (CDS); McGill University; University of Montreal; Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal; or HEC Montreal.
