About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Payments) to join our core team of experienced engineers. This is a hands-on role focused on building ultra-low-latency infrastructure for real-time settlements across both fiat and crypto rails. You'll be part of a small, fast-moving team solving complex backend problems at the intersection of finance and technology.
If you’ve built high-speed financial systems, worked on payment gateway integrations, or dived into blockchain and crypto transactions, you'll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain real-time, event-driven payment systems using NestJS and NodeJS
- Integrate with fiat (UPI, card networks) and crypto (Ethereum/Polygon) payment systems
- Design for scalability, fault tolerance, and ultra-low latency using Kafka, Redis, and PostgreSQL
- Work closely with product and infrastructure teams to deliver features from spec to production
- Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and team mentorship
- Continuously improve performance, security, and reliability of backend services
What We’re Looking For
- 4–6 years of experience building production-grade backend systems
- Strong expertise in NodeJS/NestJS and asynchronous systems
- Experience working on payment systems, financial platforms, or crypto protocols
- Solid understanding of distributed system architecture and data modeling
- Familiarity with tools like PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and AWS
- A performance- and security-first mindset
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with smart contracts or web3 development
- Prior work in fintech, payments, or crypto infrastructure
- Exposure to high-frequency trading systems or payment compliance standards
