The Opportunity
Mesta is building the future of open finance, and we’re looking for a Senior Blockchain Engineer who’s excited to work at the intersection of blockchain, AI, and global payments. You'll have the rare opportunity to work on both on-chain smart contracts and off-chain AI infrastructure, helping to shape products that scale worldwide.

What You’ll Do

1. Build on-chain AI agents using Solidity or Rust
2. Develop off-chain infrastructure with tools like LangChain, HuggingFace, RL frameworks, etc.
3. Work across the backend stack (Go, Node.js, Python) to power scalable, global payment systems
4. Optimize smart contracts for gas efficiency, security, and scalability
5. Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, and product leaders

What We’re Looking For

1. 3–5 years of experience in blockchain engineering
2. Hands-on experience with AI agents or prompt-based workflows
3. Strong backend engineering skills and ability to work across multiple languages
4. Deep curiosity about open systems, programmable finance, and emerging technologies
5. Strong product instincts and eagerness to ship fast and iterate

Nice to Have

1. Experience with Layer 1/2 networks, DeFi protocols, or crypto payment systems
2. Familiarity with zk-tech, staking mechanisms, or cross-chain bridges
3. Contributions to open-source projects or DAOs
