This role supports purchasing, vendor communication, order tracking, and product data management for a boutique home furnishings business focused on thoughtfully sourced furniture, décor, and textiles.<br><br>

We’re a small team, so this role is best for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable balancing systems, follow-through, and day-to-day problem solving.<br><br>

<strong>What You’ll Do<br></strong><br>
</div><div>Create and manage purchase orders for stock, special orders, and custom pieces.</div><div>Communicate with vendors about pricing, availability, lead times, and order updates.</div><div>Track incoming orders and shipments, and keep the team informed on timing and changes.</div><div>Maintain accurate product, cost, and inventory information in internal systems.</div><div>Help resolve discrepancies involving damages, shortages, invoices, or vendor issues.</div><div>Support overall inventory flow so the showroom stays current, stocked, and client-ready.</div><div> </div><div>
<strong>What We’re Looking For<br></strong><br>
</div><div>Experience in purchasing, inventory coordination, retail operations, or a similar administrative role.</div><div>Strong attention to detail and confidence working with spreadsheets, order data, and inventory systems.</div><div>Clear communication skills and a calm, organized approach.</div><div>Interest in home furnishings, interiors, and product-based retail.</div><div>Experience in furniture, design, or import-related purchasing is a plus.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Schedule and Compensation</strong></div><div>Status: Full-time, on-site in Louisville, KY (standard business hours with occasional flexibility around shipments or projects).</div><div>Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience plus profit sharing based on performance</div><div>Benefits: PTO and holidays</div><div> </div><div>
