About the Role
We are looking for serious and technically strong MERN Stack Interns who can contribute to production-grade applications, not just tutorial-level projects.
This role is not suitable for beginners who have only completed basic courses or copied projects from tutorials. We expect candidates to have hands-on experience building real applications and writing clean, scalable, maintainable code.
Mandatory Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)
Applicants must have strong working knowledge of:
- TypeScript (Mandatory) — ability to write fully typed production-ready code
- React.js (Modern patterns + React 19 concepts preferred)
- Tailwind CSS (Mandatory) — ability to build responsive UI without UI libraries
- Node.js + Express.js
- MongoDB
- REST API design
- Git and GitHub workflow
Candidates without TypeScript and Tailwind experience will not be considered.
Technical Expectations
You should be able to:
- Write clean, scalable, and modular production-grade code
- Build fully responsive UIs using Tailwind CSS
- Implement typed APIs and frontend using TypeScript
- Understand and implement modern React architecture
- Build secure authentication systems
- Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC | ABAC) / Role Management
- Structure scalable folder architecture for large applications
- Handle API error handling, validation, and edge cases
- Work with asynchronous logic and state management
Required Project Experience
Candidates must have built at least 2 real MERN applications, including:
Examples of acceptable projects:
- SaaS dashboard
- Multi-role application (Admin / User / Manager)
- Authentication system with protected routes
- Full-stack CRUD application with proper architecture
- Role-based access system
Projects must include GitHub repositories with clean code.
Projects that will NOT be considered:
- Todo apps
- Clone tutorials (Netflix / YouTube clones without backend logic)
- Projects copied directly from courses
Responsibilities
Develop production-grade full stack features
- Write well-structured TypeScript code
- Build scalable UI using Tailwind CSS
- Implement secure APIs using Node.js and Express
- Work with MongoDB schemas and database optimization
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Maintain high standards of code quality and maintainability
Nice-to-Have Skills
These are not mandatory but are strong advantages:
- Next.js
- Zustand / Redux
- Testing (Jest / React Testing Library)
Important Notes
We value engineering mindset over number of projects.
Candidates who:
- Only followed tutorials
- Cannot explain their own code
- Do not understand TypeScript fundamentals
will not pass the technical screening.
