Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive MERN Stack Developer (4–5 years experience) who can take ownership of end-to-end development while actively engaging with clients and contributing to business strategy. This role requires someone who can build robust applications, understand client requirements firsthand, and collaborate closely with the COO to drive both technical and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
MERN Stack Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js
- Build and maintain robust REST APIs and integrate third-party services
- Develop responsive, high-performance frontend applications using React
- Ensure code quality, scalability, security, and performance optimization
- Handle deployment, debugging, and ongoing maintenance
Client Interaction & Requirement Analysis
- Participate in client meetings alongside the COO to understand requirements
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and execution plans
- Provide technical recommendations and solution architecture during discussions
- Maintain clear communication and alignment with clients throughout the project lifecycle
Strategic & Business Collaboration
- Work closely with the COO/Founder on product strategy and technical decision-making
- Contribute to planning, architecture, and scalability discussions
- Support pre-sales by evaluating feasibility, timelines, and technical approach
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, offerings, and client engagement
Client & Project Coordination
- Assist in managing multiple client projects simultaneously
- Ensure timely delivery of milestones while maintaining quality standards
- Act as a bridge between clients, COO, and the development process
- Track project progress and ensure alignment with client expectations
- Contribute to maintaining long-term client relationships
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–5 years of hands-on experience in full stack development using the MERN stack
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB
- Experience with REST API development and third-party integrations
- Experience with state management (Redux, Context API)
- Solid understanding of database design and performance optimization
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment (AWS, Vercel, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
