Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MERN Full Stack Intern role based in Kolkata, for a non-paid internship of 2 months. The intern will work closely with the development team to design, build, and maintain web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js). Day-to-day tasks may include implementing front-end components, developing RESTful APIs, integrating databases, debugging and testing features, and collaborating on code reviews. The role also involves documenting technical work, participating in team meetings, and contributing ideas to improve product performance, security, and user experience. This internship offers exposure to real-world safety technology products and an opportunity to learn best practices in full stack development.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of MERN stack technologies (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) and JavaScript/TypeScript for full stack web development.
- Basic skills in front-end development, including HTML, CSS, responsive design principles, and familiarity with modern UI/UX practices.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration of front-end and back-end services for data-driven applications.
- Ability to use version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub) and follow collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, with attention to clean, maintainable code.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with motivation to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent self-taught experience).
- Interest in safety technology, privacy, and building products that positively impact users’ everyday lives.
