About the role
Overview
Mercor is looking for software engineers who have experience setting up development environments in Python. This is for a project with a leading AI research lab. The work will revolve around setting up working development environments and running the appropriate tests in Python for various open-source repos.
Job requirements
Based in India
Have 2+ years of industry experience working with Python
Have refactored and/or written code for at least one large project and have experience with docker use and CI/CD
Are deeply familiar with setting up development environments (installing dependencies, upgrading/downgrading to the right version of Python)
Have high attention to detail
Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
More details about the role
This project is focused on environment set up in Python. Given open-source GitHub repos, you will be asked to set up a Docker container wherein all tests pass.
This project is scoped to last a minimum of 2 weeks, but may be extended.
You will be expected to commit 20-40 hours per week. The hours are fully flexible, i.e. you choose when you work!
