Private Investigator

Mercor is seeking Experienced Private Investigators for an exclusive project with a leading AI research lab.

You're a good fit if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in private investigations, law enforcement, forensic analysis, or intelligence gathering.
• Deep subject matter expertise in open-source intelligence (OSINT), surveillance techniques, background checks, and fraud detection.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in report writing, legal documentation, and investigative casework.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing investigative reports, risk assessments, or case briefings.
• High attention to detail and the ability to provide nuanced feedback on complex investigative scenarios.

More details about the role:

• You will interface directly with prominent AI researchers from the lab in a private Slack channel and in meetings.
• We'd like experts to commit 20 hrs/week a minimum, but we'd have a preference for people who can work more.
• This project is scoped to last a minimum of 2-4 weeks, with the potential to join the AI lab full-time based on performance on the project.
• The work will involve crafting questions, evaluating model responses, and solving problems in your area of expertise. The goal of the project is to improve the model’s capabilities in this domain!
