FL Studio Expert

Mercor is seeking a talented FL Studio Expert with strong expertise in music production, sound design, and workflow automation to join an exciting project with a leading AI lab.

In this role, you will use your expertise in FL Studio to help train and enhance an AI model focused on music production workflows. You’ll be working on structured tasks, demonstrating advanced use of the DAW, and providing feedback and documentation that will help the AI agent learn to produce music more autonomously. This is a flexible, remote position, allowing you to work 20+ hours per week based on your availability.

You’re a good fit if you have:

• Strong experience using FL Studio for music production, sound design, and arrangement
• Proficiency with automation clips, mixer routing, effects chains, and plugin integration
• Experience using native and third-party VSTs within FL Studio (e.g., Serum, Omnisphere, Gross Beat)
• Knowledge of advanced music production techniques, including MIDI manipulation, audio editing, and mastering
• Ability to clearly document workflows and explain production techniques step-by-step

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with other DAWs (Ableton Live, Logic Pro) is a plus
• Basic understanding of audio engineering principles and music theory
• Experience with AI tools in creative workflows is a bonus

More details about the role:

• 15–20 hours of work per week
• Fully remote and asynchronous, allowing flexibility around your schedule
• Project duration is scoped for a minimum of 1–2 months

Compensation & Legal Details:

• You will be classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
• Payments will be processed weekly via Stripe Connect

Note: Only candidates who have access to a Mac system and are available to work with it for the project will be considered, as the tooling you would be working with is only Mac-compatible.
