About the role

You will be responsible for leading the strategy and innovation agenda for the Medical Affairs function at Merck. This includes defining the strategic priorities and roadmap for Medical Affairs, identifying and driving key strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of innovation. You will work closely with the Medical Affairs leadership team to ensure alignment and drive execution. Key responsibilities include: - Lead the development of the Medical Affairs strategy and innovation roadmap, including identifying and prioritizing key focus areas and initiatives - Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and engagement across the global Medical Affairs organization - Foster a culture of innovation within Medical Affairs, identifying and piloting new approaches to enhance Medical Affairs impact - Serve as a strategic advisor to the Medical Affairs leadership team, providing recommendations and insights to inform decision-making - Represent Medical Affairs in cross-functional strategic initiatives and collaborate with other functions to drive alignment and integration - Monitor and analyze external trends and industry developments to inform the Medical Affairs strategy - Oversee the measurement and reporting of strategic and innovation KPIs to track progress and impact
