We are hiring a Merchandising & Buying Manager at Bodice.
Role Overview
The Merchandising & Buying Manager is accountable for the brand’s commercial performance. The role combines commercial leadership with range planning and retail merchandising, ensuring that product, pricing, inventory and channel strategy work together to deliver sustained revenue growth and consistent brand experience.
The role sits at the intersection of product strategy, sales performance data analysis and in-store execution, ensuring commercial decisions translate effectively into in-store results.
Key responsibilities
Sales and B2B Channel Management
- Develop and execute sales strategies for B2B retail to deliver planned revenue.
- Analyse weekly performance and take timely actions to strengthen sell-through performance by identifying bestsellers & slow movers.
- Build and manage relationships with B2B partners and strategic accounts.
- Coordinate with retailers and branch teams to ensure accurate stock assortment across locations, maintaining correct product mix, sizing and availability
Range Planning and Buying
- Plan seasonal assortments with the Directors and Lead Designer, defining the mix and depth suited to each channel.
- Provide concise feedback on sales insights & customer behaviour.
- Analyse historical and current sales data to inform buying and in-season merchandising decisions.
- Ensure each channel receives the right assortment at the right time to achieve commercial and brand goals.
Stock Flow and Commercial Operations
- Manage stock allocation and inter-channel transfers to maintain availability
- Ensures products are reordered at the right moment by controlling inventory & managing replenishments
- Balance availability of products without overstocking
- Coordinate closely with production on launch timelines, deliveries and reorders.
- Reduce ageing inventory.
- Guide pricing, promotions and seasonal actions linked to sell-through and profitability.
Customer and Market Insight
- Track customer behaviour, market trends, and competitor activity to refine buying and sales planning.
- Ensure an elevated brand experience across all B2B partners.
Profile Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in sales, retail or merchandising, ideally in luxury or premium fashion.
- Strong knowledge of retail buying, assortment planning, and multi-channel sales operations.
- Balance of strategic thinking + execution skills
- Strong analytical ability, adept in reviewing sales, stock and channel performance data.
- Commercial focused with good product and customer understanding.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in entrepreneurial, dynamic environments with high levels of ownership.
