Job Description for the post of Merchandiser
Experience: 3+ Years from Plain Gold jewelry manufacturing industry
Markets Covered: Domestic
Location: Kandivali, Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising & Product Development
- Coordinate with the design team to develop plain gold jewellery designs based on market research, seasonal trends, and client requirements.
- Work closely with the Product Development (PD) team to finalize sample lines and ensure design feasibility in manufacturing.
- Plan and present new collections and product concepts to clients based on current market trends.
- Study customer buying patterns and plan collection calendars accordingly.
- Order Management & Coordination
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely order execution and delivery.
- Track order progress, maintain order sheets, and ensure quality standards are maintained during production.
- Handle multiple client orders while ensuring deadlines and specifications are met.
Market Research & Trend Analysis
- Conduct regular market research, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking focusing on designs, price points, and product innovation.
- Identify gaps in product assortment and propose new styles or categories
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of plain gold jewellery manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of gold purity, weight calculations, finishing techniques, and jewellery production workflows.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and basic ERP systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate/Diploma in Jewellery Design, Merchandising, or related field.
- 3+ Years of experience in jewellery merchandising, preferably in Plain Gold jewellery manufacturing.
