Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Merchandiser role based in Jaipur. The Merchandiser will coordinate between design, production, and clients to ensure collections are developed, sampled, and delivered in line with brand expectations and timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning assortments, monitoring sales and order trends, analyzing product performance, and providing feedback to the design and production teams. The role involves preparing tech packs and documentation, tracking sampling and production status, and maintaining accurate records for orders and deliveries. The Merchandiser will also support client presentations, manage merchandising displays for buyers’ visits, and collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain quality, consistency, and commercial viability.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate with clients, internal teams, and vendors in a clear, professional manner.
- Sales and Retail understanding to interpret buying patterns, product performance, and assortment planning requirements.
- Basic Marketing awareness to support product positioning, storytelling, and presentation for domestic and international buyers.
- Ability to manage merchandising documentation, including order sheets, tech packs, and tracking reports with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with apparel production processes, fabrics, and embellishments; experience with craft-based or premium fashion products is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and related tools for data tracking, reporting, and merchandising analysis.
- Relevant education in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple collections and timelines in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
