Plakads Apparel, part of the Plakads Group, is a B2B knitwear manufacturer based in Kolkata. We produce T-Shirts, Hoodies, Track Pants, and Kids Wear at scale — handling everything in-house from knitting and dyeing to stitching, printing, embroidery, and packaging. We work with brands, distributors, and institutional buyers across India.
Role Description
We are hiring a full-time, on-site B2B Sales Executive (Merchandising) based in Kolkata. This is a field-heavy sales role focused on acquiring bulk order clients — primarily brands, retailers, corporates, and institutional buyers. The person will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to order closure, coordinating directly with the directors for pricing negotiations and finalizing terms.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and connect with potential B2B clients for large-volume apparel orders
- Build and maintain a pipeline of leads across brands, retailers, distributors, and corporate buyers
- Present our product range, capabilities, and pricing to prospective clients
- Coordinate with directors for negotiation, approval, and deal closure
- Liaise with production and operations teams to ensure order feasibility and timely execution
- Follow up on samples, approvals, payments, and repeat orders
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and order status
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in textiles, apparel, or manufacturing
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working independently, managing your own pipeline
- Ability to interface with senior management and represent the company in client meetings
- Organized, proactive, and results-driven
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred — but demonstrated sales track record matters more
