Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site mid-level role for a Merchandiser based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
At Marsil, we work closely with leading global maisons and expect:
• Strong understanding of hand and machine embroidery techniques, with the ability to independently manage client swatching and sampling from initial brief through final approval.
• Sound commercial judgment and accurate costing skills, ensuring competitive pricing while safeguarding company margins.
• Professional and mature client communication, confidently coordinating with international luxury brands and ensuring seamless internal follow-through.
• End-to-end sample-to-production management, maintaining strict adherence to timelines, quality benchmarks, and approval processes.
• Ability to perform under pressure, demonstrating discretion, precision, and attention to detail within a fast-paced luxury environment.
• Vendor and sourcing coordination, ensuring timely procurement of materials, trims, and embellishments aligned with development schedules.
• Effective team collaboration, working closely with production, sampling, and design teams to ensure smooth and accountable execution.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Textiles / Fashion Design / Apparel Manufacturing / Fashion Merchandising or related field preferred. • Minimum 2+ years experience in luxury embroidery merchandising or high-fashion export houses. • Practical exposure to international brands and global client communication preferred.
• Strong knowledge of embroidery techniques
• Proficiency in costing sheets and workflow tracking (Excel).
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills. While formal education is preferred, strong hands-on industry experience will be equally valued.
