Role Description
At Global Base (GBSL), we are looking to hire 2 Merchandisers with strong experience in a Buying House environment:
- 1 – Pre-Order Merchandiser
- 1 – Post-Order Merchandiser
Pre-Order Merchandiser
- You will be responsible for managing the initial stages of the business cycle:
- Handling buyer enquiries & maintaining tracking
- Vendor sourcing, evaluation & coordination
- Preparing catalogues, costing & quotations
- Negotiating with vendors
- Managing sample development & approvals
Post-Order Merchandiser
- Managing Purchase Orders (PO) & ERP coordination
- Conducting Pre-Production Meetings (PPM)
- Handling packaging approvals & compliance
- Coordinating inspections (inline & final)
- Tracking shipments & managing documentation
- Handling buyer communication & issue resolution
Key Skills & Requirements
- Experience in Hardgoods industry (Furniture, Home Décor, Lighting preferred)
- Strong vendor management & coordination skills
- Understanding of production, quality & supply chain processes
- Good communication and follow-up ability
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset

Mandatory Requirement
Candidate must have prior experience in a Buying House
(Furniture / Home Décor / Hardgoods preferred)
Experience: 6 to 7 years of experience
