Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Merchandiser to manage merchandising, store sales & operations, and business development.
The role will involve handling international and Domestic orders, managing store sales and operations, and developing strong relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and premium clientele. The ideal candidate should be commercially driven, well-organized, and capable of independently managing multiple responsibilities. along with the ability to independently manage responsibilities and contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandising & Product Management
• Handle international and Domestic orders.
• Manage the complete merchandising cycle from enquiry → sampling → order → production → quality → shipment.
• Coordinate with buyers for product development, samples, approvals, specifications, and order requirements.
• Coordinate with design, sampling, production, quality, and logistics teams for timely order execution.
• Track production, approvals, shipment schedules, and ensure timely delivery.
• Handle buyer queries, follow-ups, modifications, and maintain regular communication.
• Maintain order records, MIS, and regular status reports.
• Support new international business development and strengthen existing buyer relationships.
Store Sales & Operations
• Manage day-to-day store sales and operational activities.
• Drive sales through walk-ins, existing customers, references, and project enquiries.
• Handle customer consultations and ensure a premium customer experience.
• Follow up on enquiries, quotations, samples, and pending orders to drive conversions.
• Monitor sales pipeline, customer follow-ups, and ongoing projects.
• Ensure proper store presentation, product displays, catalogues, and overall luxury brand standards.
Architect & Interior Designer Relations
• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, design studios, builders, and project consultants.
• Regularly meet and visit architects and interior designers to present Cocoon collections and identify upcoming projects.
• Generate new project opportunities through market visits, references, and existing networks.
• Present suitable collections and customized rug solutions based on project requirements.
• Maintain regular follow-ups to build long-term business relationships.
• Track residential, hospitality, commercial, and luxury interior projects in Jaipur.
• Generate and convert leads into confirmed business and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
Candidate Profile
• 7+ years of relevant experience in merchandising, luxury retail, home décor, carpets/rugs, furniture, furnishings, or premium lifestyle products.
• Experience in international buyer handling and export order management will be preferred.
• Experience in store sales and operations will be an added advantage.
• Strong exposure to architects, interior designers, builders, and premium/HNI clientele.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, coordination, and relationship-building skills.
• Good knowledge of export processes, product development, and order execution.
• Strong follow-up, sales conversion, and customer-handling skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel and MIS reporting.
• Comfortable with regular market visits and meetings with architects and interior designers.
• Ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.
• Candidates with an existing network of A/A+ architects and interior designers in Jaipur will be preferred.
