Job Title: Production Merchandiser – Ethnic Wear
Location: Jaipur
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Merchandiser to join our growing ethnic wear manufacturing unit. The role involves coordinating with buyers, production team, contractors, quality, and store to ensure smooth execution of orders from cutting to final dispatch. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in garment production and possess strong planning and coordination skills.
Experience
2–3 years of experience in garment production merchandising.
Experience in women’s ethnic wear (kurtas, kurtis, coord sets, dresses, etc.) will be preferred.
Experience in handling job work manufacturing or vendor coordination is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with buyers regarding production status, approvals, and delivery schedules.
Prepare and maintain Time & Action (T&A) calendars for all orders.
Plan production in coordination with the Production Manager and QC.
Coordinate with stitching and finishing contractors to ensure timely execution.
Follow up on fabric, trims, labels, packing materials, and accessories.
Ensure all production inputs are available before order execution.
Monitor daily production progress and prepare production reports.
Coordinate with the Quality team to ensure garments meet buyer specifications.
Resolve production issues and escalate delays proactively.
Track order-wise quantities from cutting to final dispatch.
Coordinate dispatch planning to ensure on-time deliveries.
Maintain order files, production records, and documentation.
Support sample development and pre-production activities whenever required.
Required Skills
Good understanding of garment manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of production planning and order execution.
Familiarity with measurement sheets, tech packs, and garment specifications.
Good communication and follow-up skills.
Strong coordination and problem-solving ability.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline (Textiles/Fashion/Apparel preferred).
Knowledge of production ERP software will be an added advantage.
Basic understanding of quality standards in garment manufacturing.
