Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tiruppur for a Production Merchandiser. The Production Merchandiser will manage production schedules, coordinate with vendors and factories, and oversee quality control to ensure timely delivery and compliance with standards. Responsible for tracking orders, collaborating with design and development teams, and addressing production challenges, the role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills. The Production Merchandiser will also work closely with the logistics department to ensure smooth shipment processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production planning, vendor coordination, and generating schedules
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners
- Familiarity with quality control processes and garment production standards
- Proficiency in using sourcing and production-related software/tools
- Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Knowledge of international trade terms, logistics, and compliance regulations is a plus
- Experience in the textile or apparel manufacturing industry is advantageous
