Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled MEP Takeoff Quantity Surveyor with 3-4 years of experience to join our dynamic estimation team. The candidate must have proven experience working with US general contractors, proficiency in Planswift and other takeoff software, basic structural estimation knowledge, and excellent English communication skills. This role is critical for delivering accurate quantity takeoffs for MEP systems on commercial and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems from architectural, engineering, and shop drawings.
• Utilize Planswift, On screen takeoff, and other estimation tools to generate precise material and labor takeoffs.
• Collaborate with US-based general contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to align on project requirements and specifications.
• Perform basic structural takeoffs (concrete, steel, masonry) to support integrated MEP/structural estimates.
• Verify measurements against project specifications, RFIs, and addendums to ensure accuracy.
• Generate formatted takeoff reports, and cost summaries in Excel or estimation software.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and potential scope changes.
• Maintain organized digital takeoff files and project documentation for easy acces.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience as an MEP Takeoff Quantity Surveyor, preferably with US general contractors.
• Proficiency in Planswift and familiarity with other estimation tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Stack, On-Screen Takeoff).
• Basic knowledge of structural estimation.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with US construction standards and practices is a plus.
