About the Role
ASBL is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical MEP QS Engineer to support quantity estimation, budgeting, cost control, and billing activities for MEP works in high-rise residential projects. The role involves coordination with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure accurate quantity take-offs, cost monitoring, and project commercial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Fire Fighting works from drawings and specifications.
- Review MEP drawings and identify quantity variations, discrepancies, and scope changes.
- Assist in cost estimation, budgeting, and preparation of tender quantities.
- Verify contractor bills and subcontractor measurements for executed MEP works.
- Monitor project costs and support cost control initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain quantity reconciliation statements and material consumption reports.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams for quantity validation and cost optimization.
- Support preparation of rate analysis and variation orders.
- Maintain accurate records of quantities, billing, and commercial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of MEP systems including Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Fighting works.
- Understanding of quantity surveying principles, BOQ preparation, and billing processes.
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying, Billing, Estimation, or Cost Control for high-rise residential, commercial, or large building construction projects.
- Exposure to contractor billing, quantity reconciliation, and project cost monitoring will be preferred.
