Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MEP Project Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The MEP Project Engineer will coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across residential and commercial projects, ensuring design intent, code compliance, and constructability. Daily responsibilities include reviewing MEP drawings and specifications, preparing or validating load calculations, and coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and contractors. The role involves monitoring site execution of MEP works, conducting inspections, resolving technical issues on-site, and verifying work against design standards and quality requirements. The engineer will support project planning, track progress of MEP activities, assist with material selection and approvals, and collaborate with vendors and subcontractors. Additional tasks include preparing reports, updating project documentation, supporting testing and commissioning, and assisting in handover of complete MEP systems.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including integration and coordination across building services.
- Applied knowledge of Mechanical Engineering in building services (HVAC, ventilation, mechanical equipment selection, and related calculations).
- Applied knowledge of Electrical Engineering for building projects (power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems, and electrical safety standards).
- Hands-on experience with Plumbing design and execution (water supply, drainage, sanitary systems, and related codes).
- Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, tracking progress, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and relevant building codes/standards.
- Familiarity with common design and office tools (e.g., AutoCAD or similar drafting software, MS Office; exposure to BIM tools is an advantage).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline; relevant certifications in MEP or project management are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site and manage multiple priorities.
