Role Description The MEP Project Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ludhiana. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and technical documents, collaborating with consultants and contractors, overseeing installation and commissioning activities, and resolving technical issues on site. The MEP Project Engineer will monitor project progress, support scheduling and resource planning, and assist in cost control and quality assurance. The role also involves regular site inspections, reporting to project leadership, and contributing to continuous improvement of MEP design and execution practices.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with practical experience in building services engineering for residential and commercial projects.
- Technical proficiency in Mechanical Engineering, including HVAC, ventilation, and related building systems design and coordination.
- Technical proficiency in Electrical Engineering, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and low-voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience in Plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and fire-fighting installations.
- Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, coordination with stakeholders, risk management, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for MEP works.
- Proficiency with engineering and design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP or equivalent) and MS Office for reports and tracking.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
