About DENSOL Engineering
DENSOL Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is a Bengaluru-based EPCM firm delivering turnkey MEP, HVAC, cleanroom, and lab infrastructure projects for India's leading pharma and biotech companies — including Syngene, Cipla, Biocon, Bosch, and BPCL. Since 2006, we have built our reputation on engineering rigour, regulatory discipline (GMP/GLP environments), and on-time project delivery.
We are expanding our project controls capability and are looking for an experienced MEP Planning Manager to own planning, scheduling, and progress governance across our active project portfolio.
Role Summary
The MEP Planning Manager is responsible for end-to-end project planning across HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, electrical, BMS, cleanroom utilities, and process piping scopes. The role sits at the intersection of Design, Procurement, Site Execution, and Client PMC — ensuring schedules are realistic, resources are aligned, and deviations are flagged early.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 MEP project schedules in MS Project / Primavera P6, integrated with civil, interior, and equipment scopes.
- Build resource-loaded and cost-loaded baselines; establish look-ahead plans (3-week / 6-week) for site teams.
- Define critical path, float, and milestone trackers; manage interdependencies with structural, architectural, and process scopes.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track weekly physical and financial progress against baseline; publish dashboards covering S-curves, earned value, productivity, and slippage.
- Lead weekly PRMs (Project Review Meetings) with internal teams and client PMC.
- Issue delay analyses, EOT (Extension of Time) submissions, and recovery plans with documented root cause.
Coordination
- Interface with Design, Procurement, QS, and Site Execution to align material delivery, manpower mobilisation, and inspection schedules.
- Coordinate with vendor and OEM teams for equipment delivery commitments tied to project critical path (chillers, AHUs, panels, BMS, cleanroom panels).
- Drive subcontractor schedule compliance and escalate non-performance.
Governance
- Own the project planning SOPs, templates, and reporting cadence across the organisation.
- Maintain a planning knowledge base — lessons learnt, productivity norms, lead-time database — for use across future bids and projects.
- Support Pre-Sales with tender-stage schedule submissions and bid programme commentary.
Required Qualifications
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. PG Diploma in Construction / Project Management is a plus.
- Experience: 5–8 years in MEP planning, of which at least 5 years in pharma / biotech / cleanroom / lab projects in an EPCM or PMC environment.
- Technical:
- Expert in MS Project.
- Strong command of MEP work breakdown, productivity norms, and procurement lead times.
- Working knowledge of MEP shop drawings, BOQs, and GMP commissioning sequence (DQ/IQ/OQ).
- Familiarity with BIM-based coordination (Navisworks / Revit) is preferred.
- Certifications (preferred): PMP, Primavera Certification, LEED AP.
Skills & Attributes
- Sharp analytical sense — comfortable with EVM, critical path analysis, and delay impact assessments.
- Confident communicator — able to defend a programme in front of senior client PMC and consultants.
- Process-oriented — believes in schedules being lived, not just published.
- High ownership; thrives in a fast-paced, multi-project execution environment.
