As a Senior Electrical planning engineer, you're required to:
● Prepare the structure creation and cost planning for the project BOQ items in SAP.
● To take up material code from material master available and assign to BOQ items enabling SAP cost planning
activities.
● Perform design calculations like load calculations, voltage drop calculations, DB scheduling, earthing calculations etc.
● Carry out equipment selection for complete Electrical scope viz, Transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, DBs, earthing,
fire protection system, Fire alarm system, etc.
● Prepare the BOQ, BOM & price BOQ with technical specifications for the non tendered items along with rate analysis
for submission & approvals.
● Float the purchase enquiries, taking the techno-commercial offers, technical evaluation negotiations & order
confirmations
● Prepare the Technical data sheets (TDS) & submit to consultant/PMC/client for approval and follow up for on-time
approvals.
● Issuing the manufacturing clearance drawings of equipment once the TDS are approved
● Assign the WBS code for each item as per SAP structure & raise the purchase indent to the procurement
● Take close follow up to release the purchase order through procurement & wherever advance payments applicable,
coordinate with the finance department to release the payment along with the PO.
● Ensure that material delivery is aligned to the project lifecycle / billing requirement.
