Job Title: MEP Execution Engineer – Mechanical
Experience: 5–12 Years
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Execution Engineer (Mechanical) to manage and execute Firefighting, Plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical MEP works at project sites. The candidate should have strong site execution experience, contractor coordination skills, and knowledge of project specifications and drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Project Execution
- Execute mechanical MEP works including Fire Fighting, Plumbing, HVAC and Utility systems as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical services.
- Review GFC drawings, shop drawings, and coordinate with the design team.
- Prepare work schedules and monitor daily site activities.
- Experience in Fire & PHE Pump Rooms & STP.
🔹 Site Coordination
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and other departments to avoid clashes.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure work quality as per standards.
- Supervise subcontractors and monitor workforce productivity.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
- Forecast monthly billing and Cost to Completion.
🔹 Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with project quality standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct material inspections and verify approved materials are used.
- Implement method statements and risk assessments.
🔹 Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Quantity take off from drawings.
- Preparation of Method Statements.
- Maintain material reconciliation statements.
- Support billing certification and measurement verification.
- Ensure proper documentation for testing & commissioning.
🔹 Client & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with consultants for inspections and approvals.
- Address site queries (RFIs) and resolve technical issues.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Knowledge of Fire Fighting systems (Hydrant, Sprinkler, Pumps).
- Knowledge of Plumbing & Drainage systems.
- Knowledge in Ventilation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.
- Good communication and team management skills.
- Understanding of IS/NBC/ASHRAE/NFPA standards (preferred).
- Experience in high-rise/commercial/residential/industrial projects.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in high-rise building projects.
- Exposure to testing & commissioning procedures.
- Experience in handling billing and BOQ verification.
- Minimum one completed project life cycle from start to end.
