Job Title: MEP Estimation Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented MEP Estimation Engineer with around 5 years of experience in cost estimation for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate BOQs, cost estimates, tender documentation, and supporting project bidding activities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).
Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
Perform quantity take-offs (QTO) from drawings using software/manual methods.
Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost breakups.
Float RFQs to vendors/suppliers and evaluate quotations.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for inputs.
Prepare technical and commercial bid submissions.
Conduct value engineering and cost optimization.
Maintain cost database and historical project data.
Support project team during post-award clarifications.
Key Skills Required
Strong knowledge of:
HVAC systems (chillers, VRF, ducting)
Electrical systems (LT panels, cabling, lighting)
Plumbing & Fire Fighting systems
Expertise in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation
Familiarity with tendering and bidding process
Good understanding of Hyderabad market rates and vendors
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Software Skills
AutoCAD (mandatory)
MS Excel (advanced) – cost calculations, pivot tables
Exposure to:
PlanSwift or CostX
Revit MEP (preferred)
Qualifications
B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Additional certifications in estimation or MEP design are an advantage
Preferred Experience
Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects
Exposure to EPC companies or MEP contractors
Hands-on experience in Hyderabad/Telangana vendor market
Salary Range
₹5 LPA – ₹9 LPA (depending on company & project exposure)
