Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented MEP Draughtsman specializing in swimming pools and water features. You will be responsible for transforming engineering concepts into precise technical shop drawings, hydraulic layouts, and electrical diagrams. Your role is critical in ensuring that our pool filtration, heating, and lighting systems are integrated seamlessly with architectural and structural designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drafting: Prepare comprehensive 2D/3D shop drawings, including piping layouts, filtration plant room details, and equipment sections using AutoCAD.
- System Design: Develop detailed layouts for hydraulic circulation, drainage, water supply, and pool heating/cooling systems.
- Electrical Integration: Draft electrical power and control diagrams, including underwater lighting and automation system layouts.
- Coordination: Perform clash detection to ensure MEP services do not interfere with structural or landscape elements.
- Documentation: Prepare "As-Built" drawings upon project completion and assist in generating Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and material take-offs.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local building codes, safety regulations, and international pool standards (e.g., SPATA, PHTA).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a certified CAD/Drafting program.
- Experience: [Insert Number, e.g., 3–5] years of experience in MEP drafting, specifically within the swimming pool or fountain industry.
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level skills in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). Experience with Revit (BIM) or SketchUp is a significant advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of pump room hydraulics, pipe sizing, and waterproof electrical installations.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-accuracy drawings that can be executed directly by site installation teams.
