Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for MEP and Electrical Modelers based in Chennai. The role involves developing detailed 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using industry-standard BIM and CAD tools, ensuring alignment with project specifications and standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with design engineers, reviewing drawings, updating models based on design changes, and identifying clashes or inconsistencies for resolution. The modeler will support preparation of construction documentation, schedules, and layouts, while maintaining organized project files and adhering to company quality processes. Collaboration with project managers and other discipline teams is essential to meet deadlines and deliver accurate, buildable models.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in MEP and electrical modeling using BIM software such as Revit, and CAD tools for 2D and 3D drafting.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for building services.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical distribution.
- Candidates should possess skills in coordination and clash detection between different disciplines within a BIM environment.
- Candidates should possess good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in MEP or electrical modeling for building or infrastructure projects will be considered an advantage.
