About the role

Reporting to the Director of Software Development, this position is responsible for data storage, management, security, integration, optimization, analysis & reporting. The DBA will play an important role on the Technology Team supporting the company's growth by working closely with Finance, Restaurant Operations, and Marketing to ensure accurate data is flowing and being reported upon. Monitor the health and performance of Microsoft SQL Server databases. Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and integrity checks. Assist in setting up and managing user access, roles, and permissions. Troubleshoot basic database issues and escalate more complex problems as needed. Support database security practices by monitoring access and following company policies. Help optimize database performance by identifying and suggesting improvements (e.g., missing indexes, slow queries). Maintain documentation of database processes, configurations, and procedures. Assist with database deployments, updates, and patches following change management processes. Participate in data recovery testing to ensure backup procedures are reliable. Collaborate with developers and senior DBAs to support application database needs. Learn and assist with basic Snowflake database tasks as opportunities arise.
