About the Role
We're building high-fidelity simulation environments where AI agents learn to perform real-world tasks through reinforcement learning. Our platform enables leading AI labs to train the next generation of agentic models, contributing to advancements in computer use, code generation, and complex multi-step task execution.
We're an early-stage, high-caliber engineering team of around 20 people, with experience from some of the world's leading AI and technology companies. Backed by top-tier investors, we're solving some of the hardest engineering challenges at the intersection of reinforcement learning, distributed systems, and real-world AI deployment.
What You'll Do
- Design and build scalable backend systems and infrastructure for AI training environments.
- Develop high-performance, reliable, and distributed services that power agentic AI workflows.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to build systems supporting reinforcement learning and large-scale simulations.
- Own projects end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and optimization.
- Solve complex engineering challenges related to performance, scalability, orchestration, and reliability.
- Contribute to engineering culture through thoughtful design discussions and high-quality code.
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in backend engineering using Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, backend architecture, and infrastructure.
- Proven track record of building and shipping production-grade systems.
- Experience as a founding engineer, startup founder, or someone who has made significant technical contributions in a high-impact environment is highly preferred.
- Genuine interest in AI, LLMs, agentic systems, or reinforcement learning.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a high degree of ownership.
- Passion for solving challenging technical problems and continuously improving your craft.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ownership mindset.
What Makes This Role Exciting
- Work on cutting-edge infrastructure powering the next generation of AI agents.
- Join a small, highly talented engineering team with significant ownership and autonomy.
- Solve technically challenging problems at the intersection of backend engineering, distributed systems, and AI.
- Build products that directly impact leading AI research and real-world AI applications.
- Be part of an early-stage company where your contributions shape both the technology and the engineering culture.
