What You'll Do: Architecting the Future of AI-Powered SaaS
- Lead design and operation of scalable distributed systems for DevRev’s AI-native, cloud-native platform.
- Architect low-latency, real-time conversational experiences in a multi-tenant environment.
- Build and optimize data pipelines (message buses, async patterns) for data-intensive features, analytics, and "Airdrop" data sync.
- Drive technical excellence: distributed systems best practices, API-first design , CI/CD for high deployment velocity.
- Mentor engineers and solve complex scalability, performance, and multi-tenancy challenges for "blazing-fast software".
What You'll Need: The Expertise to Build the Unprecedented
In order to build agentic applications, we need to be able to ingest, index and serve large volumes of data, enable agents and automations to fetch, reason, process user and system events as well as analyze and aggregate the data to unlock intelligence. All this, while giving full control to customers to customize and model their business on top of DevRev.
We are looking for experienced engineers who are passionate about building fast, reliable and personalizable platforms and can help us solve the above challenges.
What You'll Do
- Lead engineering design of scalable distributed systems solving ambiguity, driving clarity and taking ownership.
- Mentor engineers to solve and deliver complex scalability, performance, and multi-tenancy challenges.
- Drive technical excellence: distributed systems best practices, API-first design , CI/CD for high deployment velocity to ensure reliability.
- Ensure operational excellence and build quality.
- Work with different stakeholders across engineering, product, sales, marketing, customer success to learn customer and market demand, incorporate and innovate on the needs, and educate and enable teams to drive alignment and clarity.
What You'll Need
- 5- 7 years software engineering experience in large-scale distributed systems.
- Expertise in defining clean interfaces that can be built up on.
- Experience working with message buses (Kafka preferred), queues, databases, and multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
- Proficiency in Go (preferred), Java, or Python.
- Skills in cloud-native tech: Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless functions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- BS/MS in CS or related.
Bonus Points
- Proven ability in deep performance analysis, tuning, and optimization for high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Familiarity or experience with building GenAI agentic reasoning engines that leverage memory, skills, and tools for complex task completion.

- GenAI Agentic Reasoning Engines: Familiarity or experience with building or integrating GenAI agentic reasoning engines, or contributing to platforms that enable agents to leverage memory, skills, and tools for complex task completion, similar to DevRev's vision for multi-agent architecture with LLM-based reasoning
