Job Title: Project-Based Architect – Technical Drawings (Retail Interiors)

Location: Remote / On-site as required - Bangalore

Engagement Type: Freelance / Project Basis

Experience Required: 4+ years

Project Duration: 2-3 weeks

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Architect with a strong background in commercial interiors to support the technical drawing development for a retail store design project. This is a freelance/project-based role suited for someone detail-oriented and proficient in translating design concepts into precise technical packages ready for execution.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed technical drawings, GFCs (Good for Construction), and working drawings based on approved design concepts.

Ensure alignment of drawings with design intent, site conditions, and retail functionality.

Coordinate with the internal design team, project managers, and consultants for seamless output.

Prepare accurate layouts, sections, elevations, furniture drawings, electrical, plumbing, and flooring plans as required.

Integrate vendor feedback and execution feasibility into drawing documentation.

Conduct site visits or virtual walkthroughs (if needed) for drawing validation.

Ensure all drawings are compliant with local codes and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related discipline.

4+ years of experience in commercial or retail interior projects is a must.

Strong command over AutoCAD, and familiarity with tools like SketchUp, Revit, or similar.

Ability to interpret design briefs and convert them into accurate technical packages.

Understanding of services coordination (HVAC, MEP, etc.) within retail spaces.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Have

Experience working on premium retail brands or high-traffic commercial interiors.

Ability to work in fast-paced timelines and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
