In this dynamic position, you will oversee and coordinate the administrative operations of a residency training program while serving as a key liaison between faculty, residents, medical students, hospital leadership, and external agencies. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing complex coordination, event planning, compliance oversight, recruitment activities, and operational support — all while contributing to a mission-driven healthcare organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of the residency program
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, fellows, faculty, medical students, and external partners
- Manage residency calendars, meetings, events, recruitment activities, and orientation programs
- Coordinate interview schedules, applicant communications, and residency recruitment logistics in accordance with NRMP guidelines
- Support accreditation and compliance efforts, including ACGME program requirements, internal reviews, and site visits
- Maintain residency records, rotation schedules, and shared departmental files
- Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for incoming residents and fellows
- Partner with HR, GME leadership, and hospital departments to ensure seamless program operations
- Prepare payroll submissions and assist with departmental budget coordination
- Coordinate educational events including grand rounds, conferences, graduation activities, and award ceremonies
- Support affiliated and non-affiliated medical student rotations and ensure all prerequisite requirements are completed
- Provide administrative support to faculty and residency leadership while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Minimal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Education, or a related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Progressively responsible experience in a healthcare setting preferably in a residency training program.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Organizational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Knowledge of various computer software applications.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
This position has a hiring range of :
USD $28.76 - USD $48.96 /Hr.
