POSITION SUMMARY

The Licensed Counselor provides high-quality behavioral health services to patients across the lifespan. This role includes assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

You’ll collaborate closely with MedNOW’s healthcare providers and care teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered care that supports both mental and physical well-being.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and establish diagnoses
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy using evidence-based practices
  • Deliver crisis intervention and risk assessments when needed
  • Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams
  • Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the EMR
  • Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all ethical, legal, and professional standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active, unrestricted Colorado license 
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health or outpatient setting preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
  • Experience with crisis intervention and risk assessment preferred
  • CPR certification required
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (AthenaHealth experience preferred)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in integrated or primary care settings
  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
