Eligibility Criteria for Manager – Corporate Relations


Educational Qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Human Resources (HR), Marketing, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or a related discipline would be preferred.
  • Additional certifications in Corporate Relations, Business Development, or Strategic Management will be an advantage.


Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in corporate relations, business development, or placement-related roles.
  • Proven track record in handling corporate tie-ups, placement activities, and training programs in an educational institution or corporate environment.
  • Experience in securing CSR funds and establishing industry partnerships would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience in initiating and managing Centres of Excellence or similar industry-academia collaboration projects is desirable.

Key responsibility areas


1. Industry Relations and Partnerships

  • Building and maintaining relationships with key industry leaders and HR professionals.
  • Expanding the network of corporate partners through regular outreach and engagement.
  • Establishing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading organizations to promote student training, internships, and placement opportunities.


2. Placement and Internship Support

  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase campus placement rates.
  • Organizing pre-placement talks, campus interviews, and industry-specific recruitment drives.
  • Facilitating summer internships, industrial visits, and live projects to enhance industry exposure for students.


3. CSR Fund Mobilization

  • Identifying potential corporate partners for CSR funding aligned with the university's goals.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed project proposals to secure CSR funding for infrastructure, skill development, and student training programs.
  • Ensuring proper fund utilization, reporting, and compliance with CSR guidelines.
  • Building long-term relationships with CSR sponsors through regular updates and outcome reports.


4. Center of Excellence (CoE) Development

  • Initiating and establishing industry-sponsored Centres of Excellence (CoEs) focused on advanced research, skill development, and innovation.
  • Collaborating with corporate sponsors to design the infrastructure, curriculum, and operational model of the CoE.
  • Ensuring the CoE serves as a hub for industry-academia collaboration, providing students with hands-on training and exposure to industry projects.
  • Monitoring the performance and impact of the CoE, ensuring its long-term sustainability and relevance.


5. Event Management and Industry Connect

  • Organizing job fairs, industry summits, and networking events to strengthen corporate relationships.
  • Ensuring the participation of top industry leaders and recruiters in campus events.
  • Evaluating the success of events and using feedback to enhance future engagement.


6. Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence

  • Analyzing industry trends to align university programs with future job market requirements.
  • Developing a strategic roadmap to enhance corporate engagement and student placement over the next 3–5 years.
  • Proposing innovative initiatives to enhance the university's reputation and industry alignment.
