Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Medical Physicist cum RSO (Radiation Safety Officer) for our Ahmedabad location. This on-site role involves ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation and radiation-emitting devices in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include evaluating and maintaining radiation equipment, implementing safety protocols, monitoring radiation exposure levels, and conducting regular quality assurance checks. The role also requires preparing safety documentation, providing training on radiation safety measures, and liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical physics, including expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic radiation technologies
- Proficiency in performing and documenting quality assurance procedures and evaluations for radiotherapy and diagnostic equipment
- Experience implementing and managing radiation safety protocols in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ability to conduct training sessions for staff on best practices and radiation safety measures
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage safety documentation effectively
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
- Master’s degree in Medical Physics or a related field; certification as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) is essential
- Prior experience in a similar role within a clinical or hospital environment is strongly preferred
