Role Description The Medical Laboratory Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gorakhpur. The technician is responsible for receiving and processing patient samples, performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, and operating diagnostic equipment according to established protocols. Day-to-day activities include preparing reagents, calibrating instruments, maintaining sample integrity, and documenting results in the laboratory information system. The role also involves following quality control procedures, assisting with inventory management, and complying with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Collaboration with pathologists and other healthcare professionals is expected to ensure accurate reporting and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Medical Technology and Laboratory Medicine skills relevant to diagnostic testing.
- Candidates should possess core Laboratory Skills, including sample handling, test execution, and documentation.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to monitor test accuracy, maintain standards, and follow lab protocols.
- Candidates should possess experience with Laboratory Equipment, including operation, calibration, and basic troubleshooting.
- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent allied health program.
- Knowledge of clinical safety practices, infection control, and relevant regulatory or accreditation requirements.
- Attention to detail, ability to follow standardized procedures, and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a clinical team environment.
- Prior experience in a pathology or diagnostic laboratory setting is preferred but not mandatory.
