Medical Express Ambulance service EMT program is 170-hour course that is designed to give the foundation of a lifelong exciting and satisfying career in healthcare. Our course is approved by Illinois Department of Health and will give each student the most up to date information in the field.
The course will train students how to handle patients with illness and injured in the prehospital settings. Topics that they will be trained in will be how to assess vital signs, provide CPR, operate an automated external defibrillator, deliver oxygen to patients, splint broken extremities, and how to assess multiple medical conditions.
The EMT license is the first level of training in the fields of EMS. Prerequisite for the course are:
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to read/comprehend at a college level
