Role Description The Medical Doctor is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, providing clinical expertise and direct patient care within programs supported by the organization. Responsibilities include conducting medical evaluations, diagnosing and treating patients, prescribing appropriate therapies, and maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with regulatory and ethical standards. The role involves participating in health camps, community outreach initiatives, and prevention-focused programs, as well as coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care. The Medical Doctor will also contribute to program design, offer clinical input on health-related projects, support training for staff and volunteers, and help establish medical protocols that align with public health and non-profit objectives.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution and valid medical license/registration to practice in India.
- Clinical experience in primary care, community medicine, or relevant specialties, preferably with underserved or diverse populations.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based clinical decision-making.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, program managers, and community health workers.
- Experience or interest in public health, community outreach, and working with non-profit or mission-driven organizations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and sensitively.
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care, and willingness to work on-site in New Delhi on a full-time basis.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation, using basic health information systems, and adhering to regulatory and organizational guidelines.
